The Assembly Place-TS Group JV bags contract for foreign healthcare workers’ lodging facilities

MOH Holdings had launched an inquiry for proposition in August of last year to designate an operator to retrofit unused structures and manage hostel-type rental for recent offshore healthcare workforces on five sites, including the locations at 1A Short Street, 107 Circuit Road and 36 and 38 Teck Whye Crescent. 1A Short Street is the site of a former student hostel, while the last two are spots of previous colleges.

” As the holding firm of Singapore’s public healthcare institutions, MOH Holdings is devoted to constructing an encouraging environment for our health care employees and ensuring a maintainable manpower pipeline,” says Deric Liang, deputy CEO, group finance and CFO of MOH Holdings.

The improved centers are going to include a co-living concept focus around area living. “We understand that many [overseas healthcare personnels] are leaving their home nations for the very first time, so it is really important to produce a reliable and convenient setting for them,” states Eugene Lim, creator and chief executive officer of The Assembly Place.

He continues: “By affiliate with operators to establish integration programmes, we intend to smoothen the change for our new health care employees to take in right into Singapore’s healthcare system.”

A joint venture in between Singapore co-living operator The Assembly Place and TS Group, a provider of large accommodation for foreign personnels and the senior, has recently participated in a deal with MOH Holdings to create, retrofit and manage 3 accommodating centers for overseas health care employees who are new to Singapore. The facilities are located at 1A Short Street, 36 and 38 Teck Whye Crescent, and 207 Circuit Road.

The accommodation center at Short Road is intended to be operational by the 2nd half of this year, while the other 2 spots will welcome healthcare experts in 1H2025. All together, the properties are anticipated to suit 1,180 overseas health care personnels.

Lim adds that the partnership between TS Group and The Assembly Place are going to draw on the former’s substantial knowledge in operating large-scale hotels sites and the latter’s stability in community-building. “We expect producing purposeful areas and functions to receive the health care specialists,” he claims.
